Prasad Vasamsetti, DMD - Raleigh Dentist
Mississippi native, Dr. Prasad Vasamsetti, is a Raleigh dentist specializing in general and cosmetic dentistry. He is a graduate of The University of Mississippi, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2005. Since graduating, Dr. Vasamsetti has pursued a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Florida’s Nova Southeastern University as well as a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Health Sector Management at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
Following his studies, Dr. Vasamsetti went on to become the Director of Dental Services for the Pender County Health Department. During his time there, he sought to help meet oral health needs in the community by launching Forever Smiles – a children’s mobile dental clinic that has been the subject of multiple prestigious awards, such as the GlaxoSmithKline Child Recognition Award. Forever Smiles was also awarded the North Carolina Outstanding County Program Award in recognition of its comprehensive dental service to underserved populations.
Today, Dr. Vasamsetti is serving the Raleigh community at Brier Creek Dental where he has established a reputation for providing outstanding general and cosmetic dental care to his patients. He is a proud member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), whose principle function is to encourage “excellence through education and advocacy.” In keeping with this philosophy, Dr. Vasamsetti continues to expand his education and stay aware of the latest breakthroughs in dentistry. Additionally, Dr. Vasamsetti is an Invisalign Preferred Provider, someone who has a significant level of experience in treating patients with the Invisalign System.
Outside of the office, Dr. Vasamsetti continues to serve his community as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at St. Mary’s Health Clinic, where he also works as a volunteer dental care provider in his spare time. Additionally, he is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina’s Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. There, he oversees clinical instruction of 3rd and 4th year dental students. When he isn’t helping change the lives of patients in and around Raleigh, Dr. Vasamsetti can be found playing competitive tennis, traveling, and spending sunny days out on the water with his four legged companion, Abby.
Seth Jones, DDS
Dr. Seth Jones is a Dental Associate for Brier Creek Dental in Raleigh, North Carolina. After graduating from North Carolina State University with his Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry, Dr. Jones went on to achieve his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013. While completing his studies, he participated in two dental externships at the Pender County Health Department in Pender County, North Carolina and the Luther Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Jones enjoys giving back to the community and to those in underserved populations. In the past, he has volunteered his time for several non-profit organizations, including Give Kids a Smile, Crest Healthy Smiles, Missions of Mercy Clinic and the Student Health Action Coalition Clinic at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
Today, Dr. Jones enjoys serving his patients with comprehensive, personalized treatment that raises the standard for dental care in Raleigh. In pursuit of excellence in dentistry, Dr. Jones maintains membership in an implant study club and the prestigious Seattle Study Club. He looks forward to serving the people of Raleigh and building lasting patient relationships in the future.
Sarah Cook, DDS
Dr. Cook was born and raised in Raleigh. She is a double graduate of the University of North Carolina, where she received both her Bachelors of Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Cook spent time living and traveling in many different countries. She first realized her passion for working with her hands while apprenticing in a pottery shop in Switzerland, where she developed her eye for perfection and many of the artistic skills that she now applies to her career as a dentist! She later worked as an assistant in a pediatric dental office while living in Argentina, where she learned to speak Spanish.
During her time at UNC, Dr. Cook launched a free dental clinic, for which she received numerous local and national awards honoring her efforts and dedication to service. She is currently an Adjunct Faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry, where she instructs dental students at the volunteer clinic that she established.
Dr. Cook loves all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry and enjoys treating the entire family. She understands that every patient is unique and focuses on providing a nurturing environment, listening to her patients concerns, and working with them to develop a personalized plan tailored to their needs. She strives to deliver gentle care, and to make dental treatment as comfortable as possible for all of her patients.
Outside of the office, Dr. Cook lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, Austin, who is a resident physician at Duke. They enjoy going on adventures together with their mischievous Australian Shepherd, Pepper!

Abby, Therapy Dog
Meet Abby who is our certified therapy dog! If you are feeling a little anxious about your visit, Abby will be willing to help out! She is a canine good citizen who loves to help people feel better about coming to see Dr. Vasamsetti and Dr. Jones. If you feel like you would rather run out of the door instead of into the chair, ask us about seeing Abby. She will happily make time for some therapy including pets and kisses.
